ANNE SPORK

Anne's role in The Sprott Foundation is that of a Director. In her professional life, Anne Spork has accumulated over 25 years of experience in the investment industry. After completing her Bachelor's Degree in business administration, majoring in international finance at the Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration, Anne entered the investment industry. Shortly after its formation in 1981, Anne joined SSI and was instrumental in helping the firm develop into one of the most successful institutional brokerage firms in Canada.

When asked about her thoughts on philanthropy, Anne says that her motivation for giving is to improve lives. She feels that she has been very fortunate in her life, and hopes that her giving will assist those in need to achieve improvements in their lives regardless of their situation.

Anne would like to see a world free of poverty, illness, family stresses and break down, isolation and loneliness. She knows that solutions take time to discover, and that is why she is a believer in regular support for causes over an extended term. Whether by financial or personal efforts, Anne believes that everyone can make a difference in their community by investing in charitable endeavours.
