LARISA SPROTT

Larisa Sprott was born in Toronto, Canada. After completing her Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Toronto in 2001, she went on to attain a Master's Degree in Education in New York State.

Professionally, Larisa is the President of Sprott Money Ltd, an international company offering physical delivery of investment grade bullion to investors.

When speaking about her work as a director at the Sprott Foundation, Larisa says "I want to make a difference in any way possible. The donations we make today will have a noticeable impact on society and can bring about visible changes in the future."

Larisa is a part of a new breed of philanthropists in Canada. Like many youthful donors, the expectation of grantee responsibility is foremost in her mind before donations are made. When making a decision about supporting a charity, Larisa considers the need of the project and how the project can make the greatest impact on the community. She also believes that conducting site visits and financial due diligence are imperative in the donor decision making process. This is significant because as The Sprott Foundation refines its donating practices, Larisa's clear-cut beliefs about charity accountability will certainly influence to whom The Sprott Foundation donates.

Larisa enjoys spending time with her dog Waverly and traveling the world.
